The Little Bird’s First Flight

In a dense forest, there was a warm bird’s nest where a little bird named Feathers lived. Every day, Feathers watched his mother fly in and out of the nest, and he longed to fly himself.

One morning, his mother said to Feathers, “Today is the day you learn to fly.” Feathers felt both excited and a little scared. His mother gently encouraged him, “Don’t worry, I’ll be right here with you.”

Feathers stood at the edge of the nest, took a deep breath, spread his tiny wings, and with a small jump, began his first flight. He flapped his wings hard, feeling the wind rush past his ears. Though a bit wobbly at first, he gradually found his balance.

With his mother by his side, Feathers flew over treetops, glided past a stream, and saw more beautiful sights of the forest. His confidence grew, and he flew more steadily.

Finally, Feathers and his mother safely returned to the nest. Feathers joyfully said, “Mom, I learned to fly!” His mother hugged him tightly and said, “You did great, Feathers. I’m so proud of you.”

From that day on, Feathers practiced flying every day, knowing that the sky held endless adventures waiting for him to explore.
