Three-Word Chunks
Today we connect familiar pictures with three natural three-word English phrases: The cat sits., You want more., and We go home. The aim is shared meaning, not memorising a sentence pattern.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 6 months old. Keep each activity to 3–8 minutes. Looking, pointing, moving, saying one word, listening quietly, pausing, or declining all count. Model each natural phrase without asking her to repeat or produce three words.

Goals
- Chinese: hear 猫坐着, 还想要, and 回家 in meaningful scenes.
- English: understand three complete short phrases without grammar analysis.
- Early maths: count one cat, two books, and three people.
- Life skill: experience sentences as shared messages, not commands or tests.
Materials
- Only the two A4 teaching pictures above, printed or displayed full-screen.
- The English audio below.
- No cat, books, or other objects are needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Point through the tiny story and say, “猫坐着。”“你还想要。”“我们回家。” Amara may watch one panel, point to the cat, book, or home, or use a single word. If she says “猫” or “回家,” expand it naturally once and move on.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.

3. Early Maths: 1, 2, 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the bottom row of the concept poster: one cat, two books, and three people. Touch one subject for each number and ignore clothing or background details.
4. Movement and Everyday Connection
Time: 3–5 minutes.
The adult can model three small gestures: lower a hand for “sits,” point to a page for “more,” and move an open hand towards the pictured home. Amara may copy or simply watch.
Safety and Development
“Go home” always describes moving with a caregiver, never finding a route alone. Three-word chunks are not a language test; avoid repeated correction, recitation, or scoring.
