Language Week Review
Today we gently revisit six language ideas: short phrases, pronouns, preferences, stopping, positions, and size. Reviewing means experiencing them again, not proving memory.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 6 months old. Keep each activity to 3–8 minutes. Choosing one card to view, pointing to a character, moving, using one word, listening, pausing, or declining all count. The whole set need not be completed.

Goals
- Chinese: hear six core ideas again in familiar pictures.
- English: reconnect picture meanings with
me,more,here,bigger, and related words. - Early maths: count one cat, two hands, and three people.
- Learning disposition: let Amara decide which card to view and when to finish.
Materials
- Only the two A4 teaching pictures and English audio.
- No objects, flashcard quiz, or reward is needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Let Amara choose one poster. Describe only the card she is viewing: “猫坐着。”“这个人说够了。”“熊更大.” Follow her gaze if she changes cards and avoid asking whether she remembers yesterday's lesson.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.

Transcript: English time. Listen, look, or point. The cat sits. You want more. We go back. Me. You. Us. More. All done. Here. There. Back. Bigger. Smaller. You may listen, look, or point. All done.
The recording contains several words. One play, or stopping part-way, is enough. Do not pause it to quiz Amara.
3. Early Maths: Review 1, 2, 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the bottom row of the concept poster: one cat, two hands, and three people. Each hand is one whole pictured hand; do not count its fingers.
4. Movement and Everyday Connection
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Offer a choice of one gesture: point to self, show an open palm for “don't want,” bring hands together for “all done,” trace “back” on the poster, or show a size contrast. One gesture is plenty.
Review Is Not Assessment
Do not cover labels and ask Amara to guess, question why she has forgotten, or trade stickers, food, applause, gifts, or screen time for answers. Observe present understanding.
Bedtime Recall
- “Which card did you like today?”
- “How can you tell me you want to stop?”
- Say one English word from her preferred card.
