Week Three Math Discovery Review
Today we freely revisit quantity, comparison, arrangement, sorting, and pattern pictures without a memory test.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 6 months old. Keep each part to 3–8 minutes and use only the two posters and audio. Looking, pointing, one word, choosing one card, pausing, or declining all count. Follow current attention and never ask, “Do you remember?”

Goals
- Chinese: revisit “没有、一个、许多、一样多、一排、一圈、分类、规律.”
- English: revisit
none,one,many,same,line,circle,sort, andpattern. - Early math: experience mathematics as noticing relationships rather than recalling answers.
- Agency: choose sort, pattern, any other card, or rest.
Materials
- The two A4 posters and English audio.
- No revision cards, blocks, reward stickers, or test sheets are needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Let Amara look first. Describe only the card holding her attention: “这里没有。”“这些围成一圈。”“这里按种类分。” Pause when her gaze moves away. Do not question every card or require an ordered review.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Transcript:
English time. Listen, look, or point. Math discovery review. None, one, many. Same number. A line. A circle. Sort or pattern. Choose what you would like to see.
Follow only one or two words. Do not check recall.
3. Math 1 / 2 / 3
Time: 3–5 minutes. Count only 1 star, 2 circles, and 3 leaves in the main poster's bottom row. Other cards are for noticing relationships, not naming or counting everything.
4. Movement & Life
Time: 3–5 minutes. An adult finger may travel along the line once and around the circle once. Amara may choose one or neither. Continue natural quantity and position language in daily life without assigning revision.
Review Without Testing
Do not ask what was learned yesterday, demand a correct answer, or quiz every card. Do not exchange performance for food, gifts, stickers, screens, or applause. Keep the review warm, voluntary, and picture-only.
Bedtime
Say, “Choose one picture to see again, or rest.” Follow the choice and finish.
