Language Story Review
Today two complete posters revisit the previous three language stories. The child may choose, stay quiet, or stop.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 7 months old. Keep each part to 3–8 minutes and use only the two posters and audio. Looking, pointing, saying one word, staying quiet, pausing, or declining all count. Review is not a test: no flipped cards, missing parts, or correction.

Goals
- Chinese: hear “里面、外面、旁边、我的、你的、一起用的” in picture stories again.
- English: revisit three phrase groups without an output demand.
- Social-emotional learning: experience “I can choose, be quiet, and stop.”
- Early math: count only the main poster's bottom 1/2/3 strip.
Materials
- The two A4 posters and today's English audio.
- No memory cards, stickers, rewards, or other objects are needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Keep both posters visible and say, “你可以选一张，也可以只是看。” If Amara chooses the main poster, describe one full section. If she chooses the extension, say, “我可以选择。我可以安静。我可以停止。” Do not ask what she remembers from yesterday.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Transcript:
English time. Listen, look, or point. Let us review our language stories. Inside, outside, beside. Mine, yours, and shared. Different looks, same job. Choose a picture, stay quiet, or stop.
Playing it once is enough. Pressing pause also counts as participation.
3. Math 1 / 2 / 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the main poster's bottom 1 book, 2 cups, and 3 cushions. The extension poster has no counting strip; do not count its people or posters.
4. Choice & Body Boundaries
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Place both posters flat and away from Amara's body. Model, “I choose this one.” “I will be quiet.” “I stop.” She may use gaze, pointing, one word, an open-palm stop gesture, or leaving. Accept the first communication without asking for a clearer performance.
Review Is Not Assessment
Do not ask “Do you remember?” or “Which is right?” Never cover a picture for a missing-word prompt or use a reward to extend the activity. Finish when Amara stays quiet, leaves, or says no.
Bedtime
Time: 3 minutes. Read one line quietly: “You may choose, and you may stop.” Do not review performance.
