The Same Number
Today complete one-to-one lines show that the two sides have the same number. There is no visual guess or required answer.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 7 months old. Keep each part to 3–8 minutes and use only the poster and audio. Looking, pointing, tracing a line, saying one word, staying quiet, pausing, or declining all count. The adult narrates a visible relationship instead of posing a task.

Goals

Materials
- The A4 poster and today's English audio.
- No real cup, plate, toy car, card, or pen is needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Say, “1 个杯子和 1 个盘子，一样多。2 只鸟和 2 个鸟巢，一样多。3 辆车和 3 个车库，一样多。” Trace each clear match once. Do not ask which side has more or hide one side.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Transcript:
English time. Listen, look, or point. The same number. One cup and one plate. Two birds and two nests. Three cars and three garages. We can match one to one. You do not have to answer.
Not answering is an explicitly accepted choice.
3. Math 1 / 2 / 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the bottom 1 cup, 2 birds, and 3 cars. Use the upper lines to see “the same number” and the bottom strip for stable counting; do not combine them into a test.
4. Movement & Life
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Trace a simple left picture–line–right picture path once. Amara may follow one line, skip it, or stop. In daily language, “the same number” stays a neutral quantity description; it does not demand equal sharing or compare who received more.
Do Not Compare Children
“The same number” describes the pictured sets, not a child's fairness or performance. Do not ask why, manufacture a wrong pairing for error-finding, or add practice because Amara did not respond.
Bedtime
Time: 3 minutes. Say quietly, “One to one. These two sides have the same number.” End without a question.
