One for Each
Today we see complete one-to-one pairings. Every picture already has a partner, so there is no line-drawing task or answer check.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 7 months old. Keep each part to 3–8 minutes and use only the poster and audio. Looking, pointing, tracing one line, saying one word, staying quiet, pausing, or declining all count. The adult demonstrates; the child does not have to finish a task.

Goals

- Movement: optionally trace one dotted line with a finger.
Materials
- The A4 poster and today's English audio.
- No shoes, tableware, matching cards, or pen are needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Describe each finished row: “一个孩子，一只杯子，一个配一个。两只脚，两只鞋，一个配一个。三只盘子，三只勺子，一个配一个。” Trace only the existing dotted lines. Do not leave blanks or ask Amara to complete a line.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Transcript:
English time. Listen, look, or point. One for each. One cup for one child. Two feet and two shoes. Three plates and three spoons. The pictures match one to one. You may look, point, or stop.
There is no request to repeat the numbers or prove understanding.
3. Math 1 / 2 / 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Notice the three completed pairing rows, then count only the bottom strip: 1 mitten, 2 socks, and 3 spoons. The bottom is a separate counting area; the two socks do not have to be called a pair.
4. Movement & Life
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Slowly trace one dotted line to its partner, then return your hand to your own space. Amara may follow one line, watch, say “one,” or stop. In daily life, “one place for each” may be descriptive, but it must not become a demand for tidiness, sharing, or obedience.
Pairing Is Not a Test
Every match is already visible. Do not cover one side, ask for an answer, correct a finger path, or reward accuracy. If Amara crosses a line, skips a row, or leaves, stay neutral and finish.
Bedtime
Time: 3 minutes. Say quietly, “One for each. Everything is already visible.” End without a question.
