Safety and Body-Care Review
Safety and Body-Care Review
Today two A4 posters revisit stopping, telling a grown-up, communicating body needs, and staying with an adult. Review is not memory testing; it repeats the experience that boundaries are respected and needs receive a response.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 7 months old. Keep each activity to 3–8 minutes. Looking, pointing, gesturing, saying one word, staying quiet, pausing, or declining are valid. Do not quiz, correct, rank, reward, force repetition, or require a cuddle.

- Relationship: accept gaze, pointing, one word, quiet, or leaving as communication.

- The English audio below.
- No cup, pillow, traffic toy, medicine bottle, or other object, and no scenario test.
1. Chinese Picture Talk

Transcript:
English time. Listen, look, or point. You may stop. You may tell a grown-up. A grown-up responds promptly to body needs. Road safety belongs to the grown-up. Looking, pointing, one word, quiet, or stopping all count. One cup. Two pillows. Three speech bubbles.
| English | 中文 | Possible response |
|---|---|---|
stop | 停止 | Raise a hand, turn, leave, or say no |
tell | 告诉 | Point, look at the adult, or use one word |
body need | 身体需要 | Point to the cup, toilet, or pain picture |
help | 帮助 | Approach a trusted adult or stay quiet |
grown-up | 大人 | Point to a caregiver |
Do not ask Amara what she should do in danger. The adult carries safety responsibility directly.
3. Early Math: 1, 2, 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the main poster's bottom strip: 1 cup, 2 pillows, and 3 empty speech bubbles. Do not count people, the toilet icon, or zebra stripes above.
4. Every Response Counts
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Point to the extension poster's eye, pointing hand, speech bubble, quiet seated figure, and stop hand. Say, “看、指、一个词、安静或停,都可以。” Amara does not need to choose or demonstrate one.
5. Review and Developmental Boundary
Time: 3–5 minutes.
A two-year-old needs direct adult protection and repeated responsive care in real situations, not remembered rules for self-management. One correct word or point never means independent competence with noise, roads, heat, medicine, or discomfort.
Review Does Not Transfer Adult Responsibility
Respond immediately to real thirst, toileting, pain, discomfort, and safety requests. Adults isolate and handle real hazards and lead every road crossing. Declining touch, cuddles, repetition, or continuation is accepted.
Bedtime Recall
- “你想看‘停’,还是‘帮助’?”
- Say
You may stop. You may ask for help.once.
