November Picture-Book Celebration
November Picture-Book Celebration
Today two A4 posters celebrate November discoveries. Amara may choose, look, point, say one word, stay quiet, pause, or stop. There is no performance, prize, certificate, score, or ranking.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 7 months old. Keep each activity to 3–8 minutes. Joining and not joining are both valid. Follow her attention without requiring a display of learning, full retelling, photo pose, cuddle, or high-five.

Say, “这是十一月的图画书庆典。你可以选一张,也可以不选。” Describe only the picture she notices: “你在看两个材料不同的球。”“你在看大人和孩子一起走。”
On the extension poster, say, “看、指、一个词、安静或停,都是你的方式。” Do not assign a favourite or request a summary.
2. English Time

3. Early Math: 1, 2, 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the independent bottom strip on the main poster: 1 framed picture, 2 closed picture books, and 3 empty frames. Do not count apples, people, book pages, or the extension poster.
4. Celebrate Your Way
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Amara may smile, look, point, say one word, sit quietly, raise an open stop hand, or finish. Do not require clapping, dancing, a high-five, cuddle, or camera pose.
5. Relationship and Developmental Boundary
Time: 3–5 minutes.
At this age, shared attention, being understood, and freely ending matter more than a monthly demonstration. Celebrate relationship, curiosity, and safe exploration, not a checklist of knowledge.
No Prize, Certificate, or Performance
Do not trade food, gifts, screens, stickers, certificates, applause, or photos for a response. Do not score, rank, require a complete sentence, recitation, pose, or touch. Quiet and refusal receive equal respect.
Bedtime Recall
- “你想看哪一幅,还是现在结束?”
- Say
