December Math Relationships Review
Today two posters revisit the relationship language from days 11–19. The adult may describe only one or two panels; review is not a memory check or a requirement to finish.
Today's Approach
Amara is about 2 years and 8 months old. Keep each part to 3–8 minutes and use only the posters and audio. Looking, pointing, saying one word, staying quiet, pausing, or declining all count. The adult describes complete pictures without testing, correction, scoring, rewards, forced retelling, performance, or touch.

Goals
- Chinese: meet again “部分、形状、路线、规则、数量、近远.”
- English: hear a short connected review of this stage's relationship words.
- Early math: revisit several familiar ideas in clear, complete pictures.
- Autonomy: Amara chooses which panel to view, how long to listen, and when to stop.
Materials
The two A4 posters and today's English audio. No old posters, toys, cards, pen, or review questions are needed.
1. Chinese Picture Talk
Time: 5–8 minutes.
Let Amara rest on any main-poster panel and offer one Chinese sentence: “两个部分在整体里。”“形状在图画里。”“路线穿过或绕过。”“同一组可按已说明的规则来看。”“小数量一直看得见。”“小组来到一起。”“近远相对同一棵树。” Every panel need not be covered.
2. English Time
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Transcript:
English time. Listen, look, or point. December math review. Parts can be within a whole picture. Shapes can make a picture. A path can go through or around. The same pictures can follow different explained grouping rules. Small groups can be seen, matched with number symbols, or brought together. Near and far need a landmark. One purple circle. Two green leaves. Three orange stars. You may look, point, stay quiet, or stop.
Listening, pausing, or declining all count. Repetition, retelling, and answers are not requested.
3. Math 1 / 2 / 3
Time: 3–5 minutes.
Count only the main poster's bottom strip: 1 purple circle, 2 green leaves, and 3 orange stars. The extension has no counting strip; it reminds the adult to describe, wait, and respect stopping.
4. Gentle Connection
Time: 3–5 minutes.
The extension shows five welcome responses: look, point, one word, quiet, and stop. Invite once: “You may choose one panel to view.” Choosing none also completes the session; no prior knowledge is performed.
Development and Boundaries
Review is not assessment. Do not question every panel, require all words, correct omissions, total correct responses, add reward marks, or continue after Amara wants to finish.
Bedtime
Time: 3 minutes. Describe any one panel once, then say, “We finish here. Stopping is okay.” End without a question.
